Wyong Cup Results and Thank you

January 22nd, 2012

What a weekend for our club.

The Womens and Mens teams both won their finals yesterday. Women defeating Gosford 7-6 and our Men defeated Lake Macquarie 9-5.

By picking up the double these teams have created Wyong Amateur Water Polo Club history. Never before has the club won both divisions at the one event at any of the 32 previous Wyong Cup tournaments, so a huge congratulations to both teams.

Thank you to all those who helped over the weekend, scoring, timekeeping, refereeing, cooking on the bbq, shopping for the bbq and of course supporting the club and our sponsor by coming to the Grand on Saturday night for the tournament function.

Your very proud and appreciative Pres

Wyong Cup

January 5th, 2012

Happy New Year Rats.
Coming up on Saturday the 21st and Sunday the 22nd of January is the Wyong Cup, our major fundraiser. At the moment we are trying to work out how many Wyong teams to enter in the cup. So far we have a first grade mens team, we are hoping to enter a second mens team and a womens team. For this to happen we will need at least 9 players for each team.
If you are interested in playing please let me know ASAP. You can either send me a message on facebook or an email at privatedono@hotmail.com.
Thanks Ryan

Another great night at training, well done to all that attended.

The feeling in the club is fantastic at the moment and it’s gaining momentum every week.

New players are joining, players from the past coming back, heaps of enthusiastic juniors plus all the regulars back again for another swim. It has all the makings of a bumper season.

The seniors first hit out is this Wednesday night, 26/10/2011 at Wyong Pool. Games start at 6.00pm. Please get there as early as you can so we can make sure each team is ready to hit the water at the scheduled time.

To all our junior players, 12′s to 16′s, we have games this coming Saturday 29/10/2011, at Woy Woy PLC starting with the under 12′s at 10.00am.

Can’t wait for this season to commence, it’s the Junior Competition’s 10th Year Anniversary.

Come along and support your teammates before and after your game, offer to help out where you can, any assistance to make the load a bit lighter on the traditional few that do most of the work would be much appreciated.

Keep swimming and see you poolside.

Attention Facebook users

October 21st, 2011

Hi all,

Central Coast and Wyong Water Polo have created Facebook pages. In todays age we have found that many of the Water Polo Community are now Facebook users. With these Facebook pages we hope to be able to get more information out to our members are lot quicker and easier then we used to.

All you need to do is go to the page, this can be done by clicking on the links to the right of page this page and request to be added to either/both the Central Coast Waterpolo Facebook page and the Wyong Amateur Water Polo Facebook page.

We do ask that once you are a member, if you are making any posts please keep in mind that this will be viewed by players of all ages and as such needs to be acceptable viewing. E.G. No cursing, banting or damaging posts that are detrimental to the Central Coast waterpolo. Anything jovial that is in good spirit is fine.

Wyong Registration Details and Fees

October 17th, 2011

Hi Water Rats,

The senior competition will start Wednesday the 26th of October 2010 and the junior competition will start on Saturday the 29th of October 2010.

That means it is registration time, this year we all need to make a bigger effort to get your registration paid. What this means is that you need to bring your registration to training or game night and pay it to your coach or a board member. If people are slack or have to be chased we will be forced to make them watch until the money is paid.

Now to make it even easier we will also accept a direct deposit into the clubs bank account. See below for details. If choosing this option please use your name as a reference so we know who has paid. The details are;
