With the 2010 – 2011 season fast approaching their are a number of dates to mark down into your calender.

This year the season will start a week early 30/10/2010, with this in mind we need to confirm our player number’s as soon as possible. At this present time we will be capping player numbers this year due to lack of resources.

We will be having 2 rego dates, first is 25th September at Toukley Pool from 9.00a.m to 12.00p.m, we would encourage all excisting players to register before or on this date, as we wouldn’t like any excisting players to miss out. No registration will be excepted without payment in full to Wyong Water Polo. The second date will be 16th October at Toukley pool from 9.00a.m to 12.00p.m and we will be holding a free clinic from 10.00am. This year we will be trying to conduct our Flipperball program so particpants receive a free Flipperball.

Another date is Wyong Water Polo’s Annual General Meeting which will be held on Sunday 26th September at Wyong RSL at 5.00p.m. I would like to hold a Junior Meeting at 4.30p.m before this meeting to deal with issues that effect our junior players, I welcome everyone to attend this meeting.

Hi everyone, it is coming up to that time when we crawl into the cupboards, find our swimwear and get back in the pool for some polo and fun. Before the season can kick off we need to hold our Annual General Meeting.

A big congratulations needs to go out to Justin Donohue who was selected in the Australian All Schools Boys Water Polo Team following the All Schools tournament at PLC. Justin was one of the kids in the Central Coast Junior Program from day one back in 2003 and then joined Wyong in the Central Coast Competition. This also makes Justin the first ever male from Wyong to be picked in an Australian school team.

This winter (2010) Central Coast will be entering a M3 team in the Sydney winter competition. The side will be training from this coming Sunday (18/04/2010) onwards at Gosford Olympic pool.

Gosford pool has given us two lanes from 2.30pm to 3.00pm and then the whole pool from 3.00pm onwards.

The team will be swimming from 2.30pm to 3.00pm and due to the lack of space there will be limited spots that will be given to team members first. From 3.00pm there will be polo drills and anyone who would like to join in is welcome.

Over the last two weekends both the senior and junior Central Coast Water Polo Grand Finals have been played. After a very successful year in the pool the Rats had teams in seven out of ten grades. Unfortunately on the Grand Final days none of our Rats team were able to grab the big prize. Well done on a great year and we will see you all at presentation night.

Congratulations to our M3 and L2 sides for winner their respective finals and proceeding through to the Grand Final. That now gives the Rats four (4) teams in this Sundays, the 14th March 2010 Central Coast Grand Finals. So that being the case lets see everyone pool side cheering our sides to victory.

Congratulations to our M1 and M2 for winning their major semi and moving straight through to the grand final. Unlucky to M3 on a close lost and good luck in the final.
