30^th Anniversary 17^th- 18^th January 2009

Dear club tour organiser,

This January marks the 30^th anniversary of one of the longest running country water polo tournaments, the Wyong cup. As president of Wyong water polo club, I would like to extend an invitation to your club to enter a mens and/or ladies team in this years competition.

The cup will be held on the 17^th and 18^th of January at the Wyong Swimming pool.  The draw will be restricted to a total of 18 individual teams this year to allow maximum game time. Entries will be taken on a first paid first in bases.

ENTRIES WILL CLOSE FRIDAY 9^TH JANUARY 2009

ENTRY FEES: $160 per team (Non- refundable) for the tournament which includes your team entry in the ‘IRONMAN- IRONCAN’ competition.

Note: this does not include entry into the pool. However weekend passes are available at the pool, which allow you to come and go as you please.

Social activities: Are close at hand with the Royal Hotel located just up the road from the pool. The Saturday night function will be held at the newly renovated Royal Hotel with live entertainment to be provided and a night of fun to be had by all. The function will also host the last event in the ‘IRONMAN- IRONCAN’ competition giving you and your team a chance at some $$$$.

Accommodation: there are a number of places in and around Wyong for you to stay so if you would like any information or more details regarding accommodation please e-mail Keiran Donohue at kdono9@bigpond.com

Just wanted to let all you Rats know that the Meatkeeper has come on board as a sponsor for Wyong and will be suppling us with discounted meat for all our BBQ’s.

The 2009 NSW Country Club Championships are to be held in Albury this year on the 24th,25th and 26th 

of Januaury. For players interested please speak to Jared at Waterpolo or contact:0421171910. 

Wyong Cup 30th Anniversary 17th & 18th January

This year marks the 30th Anniversary of our annual Wyong cup. Its pretty remarkable to think that the 

tournament has been running for 30 years and has produced 30 years of fun waterpolo and good times 

and is the only tournament hosted by a Central Coast Waterpolo club. The Cup is to be held on 

Saturday the 17th and Sunday the 18th of January at Wyong Pool. We really need all hands on deck to 

make this thing run smoothly and for it to be memorable. This means from the little jobs to the big 

jobs, there is a lot that goes into running this Tournament and we wanna have it all covered. So 

anyone that is available to help out in anyway(Referee, BBQ, Table duty, items to fundraise. etc)
